Healthy Homemade Peanut-Butter-Banana Ice Cream

I have this bad habit of not taking a pic of the finished product, i found this on google.

Here's a healthier alternative to ice cream if you were having a sweet tooth and don't want those crazy amounts of empty calories. Using banana-nanas.

What you neeeeeeeed:.
  • bananas
  • cinnamon powder
  • peanut butter
  • protein powder (optional)
 1. Chop them bananas to little pieces

2. Put in a container and into the freezer overnight

3.When it hardens, put them bananas in a food processor

4. Add in the cinnamon and peanut butter (measurement is up to you, i usually put about 1 tsp of cinnamon and 2 tbsp of peanut butter), you may add protein powder if you want to.

5. Keep blending until you get that consistency that you want

You can actually put whatever you want in this, whether its strawberries, choco powder, blueberries, etc. If you don't want to eat "healthier" feel free to add in M&Ms, Snickers, Choco Sprinkles, cause those things are delicious.

Another thing to point out is to use a food processor, and to make sure your bananas are frozen and not mushy before you blend it, cause i realized that  you get a much better consistency, and it looks real preeeety.

Homemade Peanut Butter recipe

This Adam's Natural Peanut Butter cost more than RM 20 bucks here! Im gonna show you a homemade version that could cost less than RM 10
What you will need:
  • 500gm roasted peanuts
  • Oil (i chose olive oil, you may use peanut oil or canola oil)
  • Some salt (optional)
  • Honey (optional)
You can get raw unshelled peanuts from any bakery supply shops such as Citybakers or Bake With Yen, they cost about RM5+ for a bag of 500gm(same size as the Adam's one). For the Jar you can get left over mason jar from whatever you used it for, just make sure you clean it properly. If  you dont have one, you can get one at Daiso for 5 bucks! I found that Sunway Pyramid branch has many selections of mason jars.

Instructions:
  1.  Place the nuts on the baking tray, sprinkle a little salt all over. Roast them peanuts for about 40 mins on 200c. You might have to roast it in less time or more depending.
  2. After it is done let it cool till its room temperature.
  3. Put them in the food processor and buzz on level 1 speed (because you'll be blending it for a long time, putting it on level 2 might burn out your machine, happened to me once)
  4. Fo-Drizzle some dat olive oil as you go, im guessing about 2-3 tbsp in total, this you have to go by feel.
  5. You might spend about 5-10 mins blending depending on what kind of consistency you want, you may also have to stop it time to time to scrap it out from the sides.
  6. You may add honey during the blending process if you like more taste, but remember not too much if you trying to lose them fat!
I like mine abit chunkier (my speakers on the side to blast on some Lil Wayne!)

Loaded Egg Pita sandwich

Sometimes i just don't feel like following a recipe, and just go with the flow with what i have. Today i ate more carbs, cause i'm gonna be doing some heavy leg lifting. When i improv on a meal, I generally make sure my meals have a balance portion of Protein, Carbs, Healthy Fats, and Vegs.

Here's what i use to make this:

- 4 egg whites 1 yolk
- 1 wholewheat pita
- 1 handful of shredded/peeled lettuce
- 1 handful diced tomatoes
- spices of your choice ( i used little salt, garlic powder, pepper)
- mustard for taste
- olive oil for cooking

1. Break eggs in a bowl, add spices, whisk it yo.

1. I toast the pita on the pan (i wouldnt toast it in a toaster, it tends to be too hard and crispy, and it would break whenever i try to put anything in it)

2. Add oil to pan, then  fry eggs until it's a little runny, i then toss(BAM!) in the tomatoes and lettuce, and mix it around with eggs. (i would turn the fire off after i drop the veg in, cause the nutrients in lettuce breaks down very quick, so i would stir the veg around in there until it's soft)

3. Add mustard

4. Cut pita in 1/2

5. Stuff that egg goodness in the pita

6. Stuff it in the pita already!

Homemade Southwest Spice

Ingredients:
2 Tbsp chili powder
2 Tsp ground cumin
1 Tbsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp paprika
1 Tsp black pepper
1 Tsp crushed red pepper
1 Tbsp ground coriander
1 Tsp cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp dried oregano

I didnt have crushed red pepper or ground coriander, so i replaced it with Onion Powder (i was just improvising), and it turned out to be pretty amazing!

After combining them put it in a spice jar u can store it for later when you need a quick go-to spice for your grilling. For today i used on my dory fish.

These spices can be found in your typical grocer like Carreforre and Tesco.
